Under 9’s Played Maccabi London Lions White, and it was tightly contested. A good performance in patches. Aaron scored from a penalty. Some good counter attacking football, Josh who was playing out wide, picked a good pass to Alfie, who also scored. Zac was MOM, he worked hard and kept finding pockets of space. Aaron and Matthew kept things tight at the back.

Under 10’s Red were involved in a tight game against Whetstone Wanderers Lions. Some good passing and movement from Alex to set up Mason, who made the keeper pull out a fine stop. Using the full pitch and playing out intelligently from the back. Stand out players were Mason and Rafferty.

Under 10s Blue played Colney Colts. In the first half they played the better football, and made several chances. It was their first outing in the top league, and more than did enough not to be worried about the step up. Kameron provided go box to box running, with good support out wide from Freddie and Sam.

Under 11s Red Outplayed their opponents. All the boys played with freedom, passion and desire from the start.

Under 11s Blue matched their opponents Borehamwood, who are probably the best team in the league. A decent, well organised performance from all made for an entertaining game., the first of 2016. Hopefully that’s the corner turned now.

Under 13’s survived a late penalty care and a goal line clearance to stay 0-0 at HT against Potters Bar. A better 2nd half performance and a 2-0 win

Under 18’s White beat Panathinaikos 2-1 in their second spring cup match. With a host of pull outs before hand, the team started the day with no subs. Pretty even first half, the back 4 of Omar, Denzil, Mateusz and Tyrese looked secure. A tactic of man marking the centre forward worked well, with Omar following him everywhere with Mateusz cleaning up when he did escape. The midfield were tenacious, and also popped the ball around well. Ronny, Joel and Ethan were the central core, and worked their socks off. Jordan was pushed up top, and played well with Elliot’s knee keeping him out of the side. HT 0-0 A couple of changes with Jordan dropping deeper, after Henoc’s arrival from his trip meant he could enter the field of play. Joel went to CF, hoping to use his pace. The opposition were starting to dominate, and Terrell made 4 good saves. Ronny then scored a wonder goal, but Panathinaikos equalised with 4 minutes to go, and were going for the win before Joel Ingram hit a spectacular shot, that swerved, dipped and left the keeper stranded. Utter Joy…

Under 18s Red won the league with 3 games to spare, beating Sandridge 4-1, scorers were Daniel Enubuje with 2, Antonio and Oliver Vale. Great performance, and win.

Aldenham U13’s Played the Blue Division league leaders, they played very well, but struggled against the physical stature of their opponents, and failed to deal with the long high balls. Final score 6-1 defeat.

Aldenham Panthers lost 10-1 in a frustrating afternoon. Illness and lack of availability didn’t help the cause. Farzan got another goal though to add to his tally, and Pransah was MOM.
