Match Reports for 10/4/16

Under 9’s were involved in a hard fought game against Northwood Reds. Defensively organised against a team that committed men forward. Alfie, Zac, Josh and Benji all got goals. Aaron produced a MOM performance.

Under 11’s Red played a friendly with the new signings being involved ready for next season. They were asked to play with freedom, confidence and pass the ball in triangles, which is something we drill into them. A good solid performance, with exciting times ahead.

Under 13’s won their crucial bottom of the table clash with Boreham Wood. 1-0 down, they equalised just before HT, and then added 2 unanswered goals in the 2nd half to win 3-1. Tomi was Man of the MAtch, as he played centre half rather than his usual striker position.

Under 18’s Whites beat Chorleywood 4-2 to maintain their challenge for the blue division title. The score does not reflect the superiority the wares had, but a flurry of missed chances meant a final score which flattered the opposition. 3 games to go, 3 wins will secure the title. Next week is a massive game when the Wares Red squad play the White squad in a spring cup qualifying match.

Aldenham U15’s Panthers won 5-1 v ST Albans Rangers. This win gives them a good chance of promotion. A gutsy performance, solid in defence and some brilliant football on display. Oli Starr and Josh Silver involved in some great moves. Farzan scored 2 more to take his tally to 51 league goals. Everyone involved today did well.
